A left full-back, academy graduate Luke Robinson is entering his second successive full season as a professional at the DW Stadium. He signed his first professional contract in March 2020 and made his league debut in December of the same year as a late substitute in Latics' 1-0 win at Sunderland. Following the injury to Tom Pearce, Robinson seamlessly made the step-up to the first team and featured 25 times as Latics escaped relegation against all the odds. Robinson, who is a youth international with Scotland at Under 18 and Under 19 levels, was a crucial part of Latics' run in the FA Youth Cup in 2019-20 and won a treble in his first year as a scholar in 2018/19.
