Dylan Dwyer returned to the DW Stadium on a short-term contract in the summer following a successful trial period. 

Dylan spent his formative years with Latics after joining the Club when he was eight years old. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with the 3PL Wigan Athletic Academy, before moving on to a new challenge with Fleetwood Town, aged 13.

After a year's stay with the Cod Army, spells at the TNS Academy and Tranmere Rovers would follow, providing the youngster with a variety of different experiences to aid his development. 

He returned to Latics at the start of pre-season following his departure from Tranmere Rovers, and on the back of his impressive performances against Hyde United, Alvechurch FC and Prescot Cables in pre-season, he put pen to paper on a short-term deal at the DW Stadium. 

Dylan made his competitive debut for the U21s in the 5-0 victory over Watford U21s in August 2022 and has continued to impress with his performances on the left side of the defence during the first few months of the 2022/23 Professional Development League campaign.
