A lifelong Latics supporter, Callum Jones signed a two-year scholarship at the DW Stadium, having previously been with the Club since the age of eight.

Aged just three, Callum's footballing journey began with his local club Hindley Juniors, before later going on to join Leigh Genesis and Hindley Green. After experiencing a lot of early success at grassroots level, Callum was offered a trial at a number of professional clubs, though it was Wigan which stood out as the Club that he wanted to play for.

Signing his first contract in August 2014, Callum impressed throughout his progression throughout the age groups, and this saw him being named as the captain of the U16s, prior to signing his scholarship at the start of the 2021/22 campaign. 

An energetic full-back who has a fantastic work ethic, Callum has featured regularly for Marc Maddocks' U18s side at the beginning of this season, contributing to a number of assists from the right flank.
