Born in the Netherlands, Eko Solomon moved to England in 2010, after previously having experience playing at the Ajax football camps. 

After impressing at grassroots level, Eko signed for Blackburn Rovers and spent five years at Ewood Park before moving to Everton for a further four seasons. He signed for Latics at the start of 2022, penning a two-year scholarship upon his arrival. 

Playing predominately at the heart of the defence, Eko has featured regularly for Marc Maddocks' U18s side at the start of the 2022/23 campaign.
