Chris is an attacking midfield player who has been with the Club since the U12 age group. Chris is a technically gifted and creative player who has contributed with a number of goals and assists this season.
Chris was monitored by Latics’ Head of Academy recruitment Kenny Williams for over two years before joining the Club having scored four goals against Latics for Liverpool schoolboys.
The forward has played a key role in the recent success of our U18s, helping them to win the Professional Development League North title in back-to-back campaigns, as well as becoming the National Champions in May after a 2-0 victory against Charlton Athletic. The 17-year-old made 27 appearances for the U18s last term, scoring nine goals.
Chris signed his first professional contract with Latics in September 2021 and made his first-team debut on the same day in our Carabao Cup Third Round fixture against Sunderland at the DW Stadium.
The impressive forward scored his first senior goal for the Club in Latics' 2-0 victory against fellow Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town in the Papa John's Trophy group stage in November 2021.
