A lifelong Latics fan, Callum Jones is currently in the first year of his scholarship at the DW Stadium 

Callum's footballing journey began at the age of three with his local club Hindley Juniors, before he later went on to join Leigh Genesis and Hindley Green. 

After enjoying success at grassroots level, Callum was offered trials at a number of professional clubs, before opting to sign for Latics in August 2014 at the age of eight. He has impressed throughout his progression, and this led to him being named as captain of Marc Maddocks' U18s side, prior to signing his two-year scholarship at the start of the 2021/22 campaign. 

A well-mannered individual who has a fantastic work ethic, Callum is an all-action right back who loves to join in attacks. He has made a strong start to the 2022/23 campaign, already contributing to a number of assists.
