Anthony Scully arrived at the DW Stadium on Transfer Deadline Day in August 2022, signing a three-year deal with the Club.
The 23-year-old joined up with Leam Richardson’s squad after a two-year spell with Lincoln City, scoring 37 goals in 106 appearances for the Imps.
A versatile forward, Scully started his career with West Ham’s Academy of Football, before signing as a full-time scholar in 2015. Later in that year, he proudly followed in his father’s footsteps - former QPR and Notts County winger Tony Scully - by winning the Republic of Ireland U15 Player of the Year.
After progressing through the ranks, Scully made his professional debut for the Hammers against Exeter City in the EFL Trophy in 2018/19, before going on to score 13 goals for the U23s during the following campaign.
His impressive form for the Hammers didn’t go unnoticed, and Sully joined Lincoln City in February 2020. He made the perfect introduction to the Imps faithful, scoring against Accrington Stanley on his first start for the Club.
In his first full season in senior league football, Scully netted 17 goals in 54 appearances, helping Lincoln reach the Play-Off Final after a Semi-Final victory against Sunderland over two legs. He continued to showcase his prowess in front of goal in the 2021/22 campaign, scoring 15 goals in 39 appearances, including one against Latics in April.
Capped twice by the Republic of Ireland U21s, the all-action forward has made a strong start to the new season, scoring three goals in eight appearances ahead of his move to the DW Stadium on Deadline Day.
