Latics will face Sky Bet Championship side Preston North End in the Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup, with the fixture set to take place between Friday 9 January and Monday 12 January 2026.

Ryan Lowe’s men earned their place in the Third Round following home victories against Hemel Hempstead Town and Barrow AFC. The Latics Gaffer will now make his return to Deepdale next month to take on his previous employers, in the hope of overcoming the Lilywhites to reach the Fourth Round.

Full ticket and fixture details will be confirmed in due course.

Due to our progression into the Third Round, our home fixture against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, 10 January 2026 will now be rearranged.
