Huddlestone has taken up an offer to join fellow Sky Bet League One side Birmingham City
⁠Born in Nottingham, Huddlestone felt the opportunity with fellow Midlands side Birmingham City was too good to turn down.

We can confirm that first team coach Tom Huddlestone has departed Wigan Athletic to join Birmingham City.

Huddlestone, who joined Latics in the summer after occupying a Player-Coach role at Manchester United, has been working as part of Shaun Maloney's backroom staff as First Team Coach since the start of pre-season.

While the Football Club was keen to retain the services of Huddlestone, fellow Sky Bet League One side Birmingham presented the former Midlands born midfielder with an offer he simply could not refuse.
