The four-time former England international will assist Ben Futcher in their upcoming EURO U21 Group F qualifiers
Huddlestone, who arrived at the Brick Community Stadium in the summer following a spell with Manchester United, will join Sam Tickle at St George's Park

Wigan Athletic is delighted to confirm that Tom Huddlestone will be part of England U21s coaching set-up during the September international break.

Huddlestone, who is a four-time former England international, will assist Interim Head Coach Ben Futcher for their upcoming EURO U21 Group F qualifiers against Dale Taylor's Northern Ireland U21s and Austria U21s.

It's set to be a fantastic learning experience for Huddlestone, early into his exciting coaching career. The 37-year-old joined Latics in the summer following a successful two-season stay at Manchester United, where he was operating as Player-Coach for the Red Devils' U21 side. Huddlestone used his wealth of experience to enhance the professional development of United's youngsters, influenting them both on and off the field with his mentorship and guidance.

Huddlestone, who joins Paul Williams and Sam Meek as assistants, joins Sam Tickle in representing the Football Club within the England U21s set-up, with the young goalkeeper having recieved another call-up last week.
