CAR PARKING
Matchday parking is available for just £5 to park on Car Parks 1 (away supporters), 3 and 4. Parking payment is card only – there will be no cash payments available on official car parks
The post code WN5 0UN should direct you to Stadium Way and is the best option if you are heading for Car Parks 1, 3, 4 & 5. If you are heading for the main reception or Directors' Car Park, then you should use the post code WN5 0UZ (Loire Drive).

Wigan Athletic is proud to be dedicating Saturday’s fixture to our official charity, Wigan Athletic Community Trust.
Wigan Athletic Community Trust works with Wigan Athletic towards equality in health, life chances, and communities, playing an impactful role in supporting over 12,500 people’s lives each year.
Working across the areas of schools, community development training, and skills, the Community Trust supports people aged 2 to 92 to improve their health, raise their aspirations, and ensure everyone, no matter their background, has equal opportunity to succeed in life.
This Saturday, Community Trust staff will be running activities and stalls around the DW Stadium pre-match to allow Latics fans to learn more about their work and enjoy fun games and activities.
Supporters are also encouraged to ‘bring a pound to the ground’ to donate to and support the Trust’s charitable work in the local community.

LATICS STORE
The Latics Store is open from 10am until kick-off, as well as for 30 minutes after the full-time whistle.
Latics Store is situated next to Main Reception in the West Stand on Loire Drive.

MONTHLY MAGAZINE
The brand-new edition of Latics Monthly will be on sale at Saturday's home fixture against Blackpool. The bumper 68-page magazine is full of exclusive content and will be on sale from the Latics Store, the DW Stadium Ticket Office and the South Stand Bar.
The February edition includes features with Shaun Maloney, Charlie Kelman, Thelo Aasgaard and Sam Tickle.
THE FAMILY ZONE
The Family Zone will be open from 12:45pm for Latics' Sky Bet League One clash against Blackpool.
Ear Defenders are available from the DW Stadium Ticket Office for a £10 deposit which is refunded on return to reception (cash only).
FAN ZONE
The South Stand Fan Zone - the home of the official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club - will also be open from 12pm at the weekend, with free entry for ALL home supporters!
There will be lots of pre-match activities provided by the Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club.
TRAVELLING BY TRAIN
Wigan is served by two railway stations (almost opposite each other on Wallgate in Wigan), Wigan Northern Western and Wigan Wallgate.
Wigan North Western is on the West coast main line with links to Liverpool while Wigan Wallgate is used for regional services to Manchester, Southport and Liverpool (via Kirkby).
Taxis are available from outside Wigan North Western station which is approximately 1.4 miles away from the DW Stadium. A taxi to the DW Stadium should cost approximately £5 from Wigan North Western station.
DIRECTIONS TO THE DW STADIUM (CAR)
From the North:
- Exit M6 at Junction 27 and turn left at end of slip road
- Turn right at T-junction, sign-posted Shevington.
- After 1 mile turn left into Old Lane (Signed B53755 Standish Lower Ground)
- The road winds through countryside for approx 2 miles.
- At traffic lights turn right into Scot Lane
- Take the first left turn into Stadium Way for the entrance to the stadium car parks or second left for the main entrance (Visiting Directors & Match Officials Parking).
From the South and West:
- Exit M6 at Junction 25
- At end of slip road (approx.1 mile) turn left, sign-posted ‘Wigan A49’.
- Follow signs for Wigan A49 for 1.8 miles to saddle roundabout
- Take second exit sign-posted ‘Standish A49’ into Robin Park Road
- Follow signs for DW Stadium.
From the East:
- Exit M61 at Junction 6 (sign-posted ‘Chorley, Horwich A6027) and take first exit at roundabout. Do not exit at Junction 5 which is sign posted ‘Wigan’.
- At the next roundabout, take first left (sign-posted Westhoughton A6, Wigan B5238’) into Chorley Road
- After 0.3 miles, turn right (sign-posted ‘Wigan B5238)
- After 1.8 miles, turn left at Aspull Roundabout (sign-posted ‘Wigan B5238’)
- After 2.2 miles, just after Earl of Balcarres pub, turn right at traffic lights
- Proceed down the hill turning left at next lights with Quality Hotel on corner
- Follow ring road and get into the second lane from right as road bears right into Caroline Street, sign-posted ‘Orrell’.
- Continue on ring road following road as it bears left passing the Go Outdoors shop on the left hand side, again sign-posted for Orrell.
- Pass Wigan Pier on right and as the road goes under the railway bridge, get into the right hand lane to turn right into Robin Park Road (sign-posted ‘Robin Park’)
- Follow signs for DW Stadium
WHELAN'S SPORTS BAR AND HEATABLE.CO.UK SOUTH STAND BAR
The DW Stadium has two pre-match facilities for supporters to gather and enjoy refreshments.
Whelan’s Sports Bar will be open from 12:30pm on Saturday! Situated in the West Stand, next to Main Reception, the Sports Bar includes an extensive menu (food open from 12pm), full range PA system and multiple 50” 4K screens. Come back post-game to enjoy some great food and refreshments!
The Heatable.co.uk South Stand Bar - the home of the official Wigan Athletic Supporters’ Club - will be open from 12pm, with Official Supporters Club members receiving 25% off at the bar until 1.30pm.
There will also be a host of activities on offer in the Fan Zone all provided by the Official Wigan Athletic Supporters Club.
FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS
As a brand new offering for 2023/24, supporters can purchase a Pie, Mash, Peas and Gravy for just £7 from the DW Stadium concourse. Our new Butter Chicken Tikka Masala with rice, priced at just £6, is available from selected kiosks in the DW Home Stands.
AUCTION FUNDRAISER
After the Sky Bet League One encounter, the Wigan Athletic Past Players Association, and Wigan Athletic Heritage Group are hosting an auction fundraiser for former Latics captain and physio Alex Cribley, starting 30 minutes after the full-time whistle in Whelan's Sports Bar.
FREE SANITARY PRODUCTS
We have linked up with Aunt Flow to ensure that all supporters have free access to menstrual products at the DW Stadium, should they be required.
The Club has installed sanitary product dispensers in all concourse, ladies toilets, directly contributing to our efforts to remove any potential barriers that may prevent female supporters from attending fixtures.
Fans will find the dispensers attached to walls in the female and disabled toilets in the stadium concourses. Simply push the buttons labelled ‘Pad’ or ‘Tampon’ at the base of the machines to dispense a product, free of charge.
BABY CHANGING FACILITIES
There is one baby changing facility located within each concourse of the DW Stadium. Supporters will need a radar key to unlock the toilets. Please approach a student who is wearing either a red or purple vest for access.
FAN BEHAVIOUR
To challenge the totally unacceptable presence of football abuse, for season 2023/24, regulation changes and tough new measures have been introduced which will see people who are found to have committed offences face stadium bans and potential criminal prosecution.
The issue is focused on offensive chanting, gesturing and displaying offensive messages based on football-related tragedies, which causes significant distress to the victims’ families, survivors and affected-club supporters. Football authorities, supporter groups and law enforcement organisations, including the police and CPS, have united to crack down on fans who participate in this vile form of abuse.
In addition to bans and criminal sanctions, a range of in-stadium, in-classroom and online resources will be rolled out under the ‘Love Football Protect the Game’ banner, to educate adults and children alike about the hurt tragedy chanting causes. Ground regulations have also been updated to incorporate references to tragedy chanting.
The game will also continue its efforts to combat dangerous, illegal and unwelcome behaviour off the pitch, be it in the stands or online. Last season a host of new measures were introduced by authorities which saw enhanced sanctions applied for people identified entering the pitch, using pyros, taking drugs to games, throwing objects or for discriminatory abuse.

PERSISTENT STANDING
At the DW Stadium, the Club would like to remind supporters that persistent standing is not permitted. As a Football Club, Wigan Athletic work under a safety certificate as an all-seater stadium, therefore standing for prolonged periods of time not only breaches ground regulations but is a potential safety issue and can ruin the matchday experience for others.
PYROTECHNICS
The Club would also like to remind supporters that it is illegal to bring pyrotechnics into the DW Stadium, and there are consequences for anybody who breaks the law and ground regulations. Anyone caught possessing or using pyrotechnics will be reported to the police and prosecution could result in a permanent criminal record.
Football authorities have introduced measures and stronger sanctions across the game to tackle anti-social and criminal behaviours. While fan behaviour on a matchday has shown some signs of improvement, there have been instances where pyrotechnics including flares, smoke bombs and fireworks have been found or used in stadiums.
Wigan Athletic prides itself on being a family-friendly Club, and is committed to ensuring that the field of play remains safe for players, managers and match officials, just as the stands should be for supporters.
NO FLAGS ARE PERMITTED AT THE DW STADIUM
The world continues to be shocked and saddened by the ongoing and devastating events which have taken place in Israel and Palestine for almost two weeks. Our collective thoughts continue to be with those innocent people who have died, their families and all those who continue to be impacted by the conflict.
Football can often be used to highlight the views of one side or the other, which can then escalate the violence and disorder. Displaying an allegiance to either country or political groups attributed to them could lead to repercussions for both the club and individuals.
After consultation with stakeholders and consideration of the security and safety risk, Israeli or Palestinian flags, or those with a political or religious message, will not be permitted into the Stadium.
