  • Charlie Wyke was a late substitute for Rotherham United in their narrow defeat at Ipswich Town

Tuesday 20 February saw four Tics feature for their respective loan clubs. Here's a full round-up of how they fared...

Joe Adams

Having missed their 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon at the weekend, Joe Adams made his return to the Morecambe starting XI at Walsall. It was his seventh Sky Bet League Two appearance since joining in January, and while the 19-year-old looked to make something happen, he couldn't prevent them from falling to a 3-0 defeat.

It's a return home at the weekend for the Shrimps and Joe when they welcome Grimsby Town to the Mazuma Stadium.

Ethan Mitchell

Latics' U21s captain Ethan Mitchell was the cover star on AFC Fylde's matchday programme and he completed 90 minutes in their 2-2 draw with fourth-place Solihull Moors. The young defender has only been on the losing side once in seven appearances, impressing immensely at the start of his loan spell on the Fylde Coast.

Fylde will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Boreham Wood on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Watson

Tom Watson made his second appearance for Oxford City following his youth loan move last weekend, but it was ultimately a difficult night at the office for the Latics stopper. Oxford lost 5-2 against Eastleigh in the National League, and will be looking to bounce back when they travel to Gateshead at the weekend.

Charlie Wyke

Charlie Wyke was a late substitute as Rotherham United fell to a late 4-3 defeat at Ipswich Town.

The Millers, who are managed by former Latics boss Leam Richardson, will be hoping to take the positives from their performance and bounce back against Queens Park Rangers at the weekend.
