R Banks & Sons become Wigan Athletic’s Official Memorial Partner for the 2024/25 season
The 2024/25 season marks 20 years of continuous commercial support for Wigan Athletic by R Banks & Sons Funerals

Wigan Athletic are delighted to announce R Banks & Sons Funerals as an Official Partner for the 2024/25 season. As lifelong fans of Wigan Athletic, the 2024/25 season will mark 20 years of R Banks & Sons' commercial support of the Club.

Previously an Affiliate partner of the Club, this partnership sees R Banks & Sons upgrade their support to become the Official Memorial Partner of Wigan Athletic, increasing their presence at the Brick Community Stadium on Latics’ matchdays.

Based in Wigan and its neighbouring boroughs, R Banks & Sons is the largest independent funeral director in the area. The company operates a Jaguar fleet, including the Jaguar hearse used at the Queen Mother's funeral, a Mercedes fleet, and a bespoke 1938 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith hearse, formerly Winston Churchill’s official vehicle during the war years.

R Banks & Sons have a monumental masonry department offering a large range of granite headstones from around the world and golden charter pre-payment funeral plans.

For the last 20 years, our family’s company has sponsored the Tics in some capacity, and we continue to follow on from my father’s legacy and his promise to always support the local community.
