Five Wigan Athletic players have been called up for international duty in October, with Liam Morrison, Baba Adeeko, Abdi Sharif Thelo Aasgaard, and Josh Magennis all set for action with their respective nations. 

Latics Academy graduates Adeeko and Aasgaard - along with Bayern Munich loanee Liam Morrison - will be featuring in U21 EURO qualifiers, while Josh Magennis will be looking to build on his 73 caps for Northern Ireland in their upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against San Marino and Slovenia. 

Sharif, who made his first-team debut against Rotherham United last term, has received his first call-up for the Somalian National Team and could make his international bow in friendlies against Niger and Sierra Leone.
