Reilly was offered his first professional contract on the back of his outstanding displays throughout the course of the 2022/23 campaign

Congratulations to Jack Reilly who has been named the 2022/23 Michael Millett Academy Player of the Year winner following an outstanding season for Latics' U18s and U21s.

The 18-year-old has excelled across both of Latics’ senior Academy teams, most memorably helping Latics U21s reach the Central League Cup Final and finish third in the Professional Development League North.

His immense development both on and off the field has been there for all to see, with the energetic full-back being provided with the opportunity to train with Latics' first-team squad on a number of occasions following the arrival of Shaun Maloney in January this year.

Reilly, who was recently rewarded with his first professional contract, has now also been recognised by his peers at the 3PL Wigan Athletic Academy by being voted as their Player of the Year for 2022/23.

The Michael Millett Academy Player of the Year award is named in honour of former Latics youth team player and professional, Michael Millett, who sadly passed away in 1995 at the age of 17.
