Will Keane has withdrawn from the Republic of Ireland squad due to a minor injury.

The forward missed Latics' weekend victory over Blackpool at the DW after picking up a minor injury in the previous midweek at Coventry City.

After receiving a call-up last week to Stephen Kenny's squad, looking to add to his three caps for his country, Will has now unfortunately been withdrawn.

Latics will still be represented in the Republic of Ireland squad by James McClean, as they take on Norway and Malta in the coming days, along with Jamie McGrath, who is currently on loan at Dundee United.
