We are delighted to announce the loan signing of versatile midfielder Glen Rea from Luton Town.

Rea, 27, has played over 200 times for the Hatters in their rise from League Two to the Championship and now joins Latics on loan until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Hailing from Brighton, Rea progressed through the Seagulls’ academy and featured twice for the first team before a brief spell with Southend United preceded his move to Kenilworth Road.

After winning back-to-back promotions with Luton, Rea has played 64 Championship matches in the past two years.

Glen will wear the number 26 shirt during his time at the DW Stadium.
