We are pleased to confirm that midfielder Dan Gardner has extended his contract with Latics until the end of the season, subject to EFL approval.

Gardner, 30, signed a short-term deal with Latics in September after injuries had resulted in him missing over 12 months of football.

After building his match fitness at the DW Stadium, the midfielder has played an important role for Leam Richardson’s side, having played 19 matches in all competitions.

His first Latics goal came in the 4-3 win over Accrington Stanley in December.
