We are pleased to confirm the addition of experienced striker Jamie Proctor to our squad after the 28-year-old joined up on loan from Rotherham United on Deadline Day.

Proctor has played over 250 league games and joins after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Newport County.

Hailing from Preston, Proctor progressed through the academy of his hometown club to play 40 first team matches before moving to then Premier League side Swansea City in 2012 at the age of 20.

In 2013, Proctor joined Crawley Town and scored 13 times in 18 months with the Sussex side before Fleetwood Town acquired his services in the summer of 2014.

After scoring 12 goals for the Cod Army, Proctor made an initial loan move to Bradford City permanent. He then scored six times in 20 appearances for the Bantams before signing for Bolton Wanderers in 2016.

Following a year at Bolton, Proctor moved to Rotherham United but suffered an injury-hit debut campaign with the Millers as they won promotion to the Championship.

The striker made 16 Championship appearances in 2018-19 and has since had subsequent loan spells with Scunthorpe United, AFC Fylde and most recently Newport.
