We are pleased to confirm the signing of forward Joe Dodoo until the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Dodoo, 25, left Turkish club Ankara Keçiörengücü in January after moving to the TFF First League in September.

A graduate of Leicester City’s academy, Dodoo scored a hat-trick on his senior debut for the Foxes in a 4-1 EFL Cup win at Bury. He then made his Premier League debut the following weekend and added a further goal in a 2-1 EFL Cup win over West Ham United.

Dodoo joined Bury on loan in 2015 and scored on his debut for the Shakers – in a 1-0 win over Burton Albion – before signing for Rangers in the summer of 2016.

The forward scored on his Rangers debut in a 3-0 win at East Stirling and added a further four goals and three assists in 25 appearances in his first campaign at Ibrox.

Early in the 2017-18 campaign, Dodoo joined Charlton Athletic and featured against Latics in our 3-0 win at the Valley early in the League One winning season of three years ago. Again, Dodoo scored on his debut for his new club, notching the winner in Charlton’s 4-3 win at Oldham Athletic.

Dodoo spent the 2018-19 season on loan at Blackpool, grabbing six goals and four assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Seasiders.

Last season, Dodoo joined Bolton Wanderers after leaving Rangers and added a further four goals and four assists to his tally during 25 League One appearances.

Joe will wear the number 20 shirt during his time with Wigan Athletic.
