We are delighted to announce that Latics midfielder Thelo Aasgaard has penned a new four-and-a-half year contract at Wigan Athletic.

The 19-year-old Latics Academy graduate has committed his long-term future to Latics, with the Norway youth international’s new contract set to run until the summer of 2026.

Aasgaard joined Latics as a 14-year-old, though his initial development through his scholarship was limited due to injuries. The midfielder did, however, catch the eye with a number of spectacular goals and he helped Latics U18s to the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup in the 2019/20 season.
