1. Born on 7 May 1994, Josh Clarke came through the academy system at Brentford FC.

2. The attacking full back made his senior debut as an 18-year-old in August 2013, featuring three times that season, in the EFL Cup, EFL Trophy and once in Sky Bet League One, a game in which he featured against new team mate Gavin Massey who at the time played for Colchester United.

3. Before making his Brentford debut, Clarke went on non-league loans, featuring for Carshalton Athletic, Maidenhead United and Braintree Town.

4. In 2014/15, Clarke spent time on loan in League Two with Stevenage, one of four loans away from Griffin Park, with Dagenham and Redbridge, Barnet and Burton Albion also acquiring his services.

5. Clarke made a real breakthrough at Brentford in 2015/16, featuring 12 times for the Bees, with 11 of those appearances coming in the Sky Bet Championship.

6. Clarke scored three goals in six games for Barnet during the middle of the 2015/16 season, showcasing his attacking prowess from a young age.

7. A further 32 first team appearances followed at Brentford in 2016/17, two of which came against Latics. Clarke also scored his first Brentford goals that year, one in a 4-1 home win against Reading and the second to open the scoring in a 2-0 away win against Queens Park Rangers in a West London derby.

8. 2017/18 saw Clarke feature in another 32 games for the Bees, with another goal against QPR in the EFL Cup and another goal against Reading in the Championship. He also scored against Norwich City in the cup.

9. Clarke made three more Brentford appearances in 2018/19 and also featured six times on loan at Burton Albion in League One.

10. The full back's final two appearances for Brentford came in August and September 2019, with Clarke leaving Griffin Park in January 2020.
