Latics are back in action at the DW Stadium, with Sheffield Wednesday the visitors to face Nick Chadwick's Under 23s on Monday evening!

Heading into the game in fourth place in the Professional Development League, Latics have won all nine of their games in 2020 across four different competitions and are unbeaten since November, a streak that is currently up to 12 matches.

With 36 points from 20 fixtures, Latics are just two points behind third placed Burnley.

The visitors from South Yorkshire are ninth in the table with 21 points from their 20 games. The Owls beat Barnsley 2-0 last time out, with a 2-2 draw against Leeds United 15 days earlier.

Two of Latics' Under 18s who featured in Friday night's FA Youth Cup quarter final at Old Trafford start for the U23s, with Scotland U19 duo Luke Robinson (left back) and Kyle Joseph (forward) in the XI.

James Aspinall returns in goal, with Patrick Webber moving into central defence in place of Adam Long who is currently out on loan at Notts County.

U23 squad members also out on loan include: Olly Crankshaw (Dundee FC), Jack Sanders (Southport FC) and Bobby Jones (Warrington Town).
