Latics won their seventh from nine matches, with Kieffer Moore on target against QPR.

"We're obviously delighted with the performance and the win," Danny Fox began to tell Latics TV after his side's 1-0 victory against QPR at the DW Stadium.

"The circumstances aren't great for everyone connected with the club, but it's our job to go out and put performances in for our supporters who are all watching on Latics TV at the minute.

"Hopefully we did them proud and we can continue to do that over the next two weeks.

"The spirit has been unbelievable, it's the best I've ever been part of. I know that's usually a bit of a cliche, but in the circumstances that we're in, everyone's together.

"We put in a big performance, we ran our socks off and we fully deserved the win. We probably should have scored more goals, but we deserved it.

"We all love each other here, we are like brothers, we all get on and it's a good place to be when we win games.

"We are doing it for the fans and everyone connected with the club. It's no secret that people have been here for a long time and a lot of people have lost jobs. It's their lives and we do feel so much for them, we just have to do them proud with every game we play.

"There are no excuses from us. It would be the easy excuse to just roll over, but as you see, the gaffer is a very passionate man. The gaffer and his staff have been second to none."

Latics' recent run of results is one of the best in the league, winning seven from nine games, with three consecutive home victories and eight clean sheets. Fox continued:

"Eight clean sheets in nine games in any league is some achievement. The Championship is the most relentless league, it's non-stop and some games are like basketball games. It was a bit like that in the first 20 minutes.

"I've only played in a few of the games, so credit to Marshy and the lads who've played in the back four, but it starts from Kieffer Moore up front and it's credit to everyone in the squad.

"I've missed football a lot. I've had a troubled time this season, I've been injured and I've had two operations. I can't really complain about that given the circumstances that are going on across the world, with this administration just adding to that for people here."
