Match at AFC Wimbledon early in the New Year will now take place on Wednesday 6 January, kick-off 6.30pm

Two Wigan Athletic fixtures have been subject to slight rearrangements and can now be confirmed.

Firstly, Latics’ trip to Burton Albion on Tuesday 29 December will now kick-off at the slightly earlier time of 6.30pm, having initially been scheduled for 7.45pm.

Then, early in the New Year, Latics’ trip to AFC Wimbledon has moved back a day to Wednesday 6 January and the match will again kick-off at 6.30pm.

Both matches have been moved to allow for more reasonable travel and recovery times between fixtures, especially in the case of Latics’ trip to AFC Wimbledon which would have come within 72 hours of the trip to Swindon Town on Saturday 2 January.

As announced last week, Latics’ clash with Hull City at the DW Stadium on Saturday 9 January will now kick-off at 7.45pm after the game was selected for live TV coverage by Sky Sports.
