24 years ago today, Spanish trio Roberto Martinez, Isidro Diaz and Jesus Seba arrived at Springfield Park, bringing culture to Latics on and off the pitch and thus, the Three Amigos nickname was coined.

The Three Amigos brought elegance, style and flair to Latics during their time on the pitch, whilst as we all well know, Martinez continued to make his mark off it as our manager.

Between them, the Three Amigos played 343 times in all competitions, contributing to the 1996-97 Third Division title win in just their second season and many more memories along the way.
