1. Daniel Gyollai was born on 7 April 1997 in Bekescaba, Hungary. He shares his birthday with former Latics forwards Neil Roberts and Franco Di Santo. The day after Daniel was born, Pat McGibbon scored in a 1-0 win against Colchester United at Springfield Park.

2. The goalkeeper moved from his hometown of Bekescaba to the country's capital Budapest when he was 13-years-old to join the Magyar Football Academy.

3. Daniel will be the third player from Hungary to represent Latics after Gabor Bukran and Adam Bogdan.

4. Aged 15, Gyollai move to England after a successful trial with Stoke City.

5. He progressed through Stoke's ranks to sign professional terms in 2016

6. Gyollai's debut in senior football came for Stoke's Under 23s in the Checkatrade Trophy when he replaced former Latics loanee Jakob Haugaard as a late substitute in a 1-0 defeat at Blackburn Rovers in 2017.

7. Daniel continued to feature in the Checkatrade Trophy in 2018-19, playing twice in Stoke's campaign. He kept a clean sheet against Sunderland in a 0-0 draw and helped the Potters to a penalty shootout victory over Carlisle United after a 1-1 draw.

8. Gyollai has played youth international football for Hungary up to Under 21 level.

9. Nantwich Town took Gyollai on loan twice in 2016 and 2017, giving him experience of first team football.

10. Gyollai played 43 times in the Professional Development League for Stoke, keeping 10 clean sheets in the process.
